Knysna
Some will tell you it’s the most beautiful place on Earth. Most do not disagree once they have paid us a visit! The Garden Route, stretching from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town, takes in our little piece of heaven – the Knysna Heads and our home!
Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and Sedgefield are a playground for almost everyone, catering to every need. Foodies will have a smörgåsbord to choose from, tapas, fine dining, seafood, picnics, easy living beach spots and the best wines and craft drinks. Adrenalin junkies have forests, lakes, oceans, sand dunes, mountains, beaches and the skies to please them. Culture vultures can soak up the local history, browse the art galleries that grace the route, follow a tour of the lagoon or discover the history behind the town.
Families are in for a treat – elephant parks, birds and monkeyland, beaches that stretch for miles, markets, forests, walking, biking and swimming, it is a playground for every age.
Those that are getting away from it all are able to walk, read, drink coffee and wine, eat at quiet spots, laze in a secluded spot on the lagoon, watch the world go by and soak up the peace.
